Today on the blog I have swatches from the China Glaze Sea Goddess collection – 6 textured shades perfect for spring. Read below for close up pics and review…
Seahorsin’ Around is a turquoise blue with slight shimmer textured polish! This one is my personal favorite from this collection. The application was amazing with 2 coats…literally couldn’t stop staring at this one. Looks amazing in the sun.
Shell we Dance? is a light pink texture with a hint of gold shimmer and glitter. This one is also 2 coats!
Tail Me Something is a lavender texture. It has a metallic finish to it, similar to Seahorsin’ Around! 2 coats.
Teal the Tide Turns is a light teal texture with turquoise glitters. For some reason I had a difficult time applying this one, its a sheer jelly and took me 3 coats. On the 3rd coat I was able to get an even coat of color.
Sand Dolla Make You Holla was another one that was difficult to apply. It is a milky white base with different color glitters. The application was similar to Teal the Tide Turns…but overall looks decent after 3 coats. Love how it looks was just difficult to apply 🙂
Wish on a Starfish was another favorite of mine! It is a light pink texture with tons of gold shimmer, so gorgeous! Application was great with this one- 2 coats.
Overall, I really love these textured polishes…I think China Glaze did a fantastic job! With the exception of a couple difficult to apply ones, the colors and combinations are amazing and unique.
Since I was doing swatches, I really didn’t keep most of them on longer than 10 minutes. I wore Seahorsin’ Around and Shell we Dance? overnight, and the texture gets even more intense the longer you keep it on. So just a note: these photos might not show the complete true texture.
As for removal, not too bad. I used a 180 grit file to buff off most of the texture, and then removed the remaining with acetone.
Which one is your favorite?
