TUTORIAL – Watercolor Spotted Nails

Watercolor Spotted Nails www.chelseasgetnailed.com

Today I was bored and was experimenting with some nail designs! I stumbled upon this design and had to make a tutorial for you guys 🙂  The water spotted trend has been pretty popular lately, but all the videos I’ve seen showed hand sanitizer spray (who has that?!…well at least I don’t). I experimented with some products I had lying around the house and realized that anything with alcohol in it would work for this technique! I used body spray (from Bath and Body Works) and perfume…both worked! Hairspray works as well 🙂

What’s great about the “spotted” technique is that it is super simple, and you can use products lying around the house. This look is very versatile, so you can easily switch out the colors to make it your own.

I’ve done watercolor nails in the past, and thought some bright colors would look perfect under this spotted design. In the tutorial I show how I do the watercolor technique as well! Although it appears complicated, it is super easy.

Polishes I Used:
Essie Blanc
Essie Go Overboard
Essie Play Date
Essie Where’s My Chauffeur?
Floss Gloss Con Limon
Essie Licorice

Anyways…onto the video! I hope you enjoy it and if you try it out I would love to see.
