I am ready for Spring! I’m so over this cold weather…it may sound crazy but I’m ready to work on some Spring designs. I never have done butterfly nails like this before so I was feeling really inspired! My Watercolor Spotted nails that I did the other day kind of reminded me of butterfly wings, so I added them as some accent nails.

Butterfly Nails - What I Used www.chelseasgetnailed.com

On all of my nails, I first painted Essie Blanc as my base color. This is one of my favorite white polishes! It definitely is difficult finding a good white polish that doesn’t streak, and this one is the best one I have found. 2 coats and it’s perfect!

Using the technique shown in this tutorial, I did the watercolor design on all my fingers (except my ring finger), and then added the spotted design (also shown in the tutorial) on my two fingers. Β For the watercolor, I used Rose, Gloria, Charlotte, and Blake. To hand paint the butterflies, I used these brushes along with Essie Licorice.

Are your nails ready for Spring? Mine are! I’m definitely over the dark colors of winter…bring on the brights and pastels πŸ™‚

I absolutely love your nails, all the models come out perfect! Especially the watercolor. I have a question not related to this post. I want to order one of the Julep Maven starter boxes, I have the first one free (I guess you also got that email) and I can’t decide from Bombshell, It Girl and Classic With A Twist. Which one would you order? I really can’t decide, I love them all!
By the way, once again, your nails are awesome. I totally love your blog! <3 xx

      Thank you! πŸ™‚

I ordered American Beauty when I became a maven, but all the intro boxes have changed since then. It really depends if you want the cuticle oil or just 3 polishes. (personally I really like their cuticle oil!) Classic with a twist looks gorgeous (love the grey), but it girl is nice because you get three polishes!

I simply love your nails. I was so hoping they were artificial and you could buy them, LOL because they are so stunning and beautiful to look at. Love Love Butterflies! Wish you lived closer to do that to mine. Fantastic job.

LOOOOVVVEEEE this!! Wish I could duplicate it but surely it will not look as polished. I love butterflies and adore this design so much. I think I have a stamping plate that I could maybe use lol. (FYI: Have you thought of selling your designs on artificial nails? I’ve seen other people doing that and people actually do buy it. Just a thought anyway.)
