When I received the new China Glaze Surprise! collection I knew I had to do some glitter placement. Glitter placement used to be my favorite thing to do before I started devoting myself like crazy to hand painted nail art. What I love about it is that its so easy to do (though time consuming) yet it looks so advanced! Great for a beginner in nail art.
I first painted my nails with 2 coats of China Glaze At Vase Value from their new City Flourish collection. I had somewhat of a difficult time with application but once I figured it out it went on fine. It came out slightly streaky, so I painted my first coat thin and even, then the second coat I did thicker, worked like a charm! π
The glitters from the Surprise! collection work AMAZING for glitter placement. They each have a variety of colors so they are super fun. This particular glitter isΒ Glitter Up.Β For glitter placement I blobbed out the glitter polish on a piece of foil, then picked up the glitters one by one and placed them on the nail. Since they are in a clear polish that adhered them to the nail, but you can also dip them in a top coat.
I let the glitters set for a minute to dry and then added on some top coat.
Have you tried the glitter placement technique before?

In mu opinion, China glaze and OPI are the best nail lacquers lately. This nail design is very gentle and feminine, yet modern without coming off as tacky. Ah, I wish I had the same amount of ability to paint my nails as I adore having cool nails.
Great mani π .. Never tried it so thank you for the idea
Love the different patterns!
