#IHeartNailArt Color Destinations

Hawaii Inspired Nails www.chelseaqueen.com

As an ambassador for the Sally Hansen #IHeartNailArt contest, today I’m sharing some tips and tricks to get these Hawaii inspired nails! This month’s theme is all about color destinations, so lots of color is involved along with a travel-related place. Last year I went to Hawaii and was so inspired by all the colors, I did some nails similar to these in the past but I wanted to revisit them with more color!

For some extra fun, add in some gorgeous rings from BaubleBar like this contrast spike ring set…love how they can be work together for a cute stacked looked or individually! (See bottom of post for a coupon code!!)

Read below for a photo & video how-to…

I made a quick tutorial showing each step by step, but I also have some photo graphics showing each individual design.

To start off, I painted all of my nails with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Peach of Cake. I loved this coral/peach and thought it was the perfect color to make the designs pop!

Pineapple How-to www.chelseaqueen.com

For theΒ Pineapple nail, I painted ovals with Sally Hansen Triple Shine in Lemon Shark. Once it dries for a minute, paint on the details with Triple Shine Play Koi, a bright orange. Add in the leaves with Xtreme Wear in Going Green and you’re done!

Hibiscus How-to www.chelseaqueen.com

We couldn’t have some Hawaii nail art without the hibiscus flower! Start by painting 5 petals with Complete Salon Manicure Pink a Card, then add in details with a darker hot pink, like Cherry, Cherry, Bang, Bang!Β Add in leaves with a vibrant green.

Palm Tree How-To www.chelseaqueen.com

This palm tree design is the easiest of the 3, so its perfect for beginners! Start by painting random lines on your nails with a light brown, like Complete Salon Manicure Commander in Chic. Add in tiny zig zags with a darker brown, like Bittersweet. This step is completely optional, especially since it takes a steady hand! Add in 4 lines with the same green used on the other nails, and you’re done!

Add your favorite top coat to make it last and to give it some major shine.

PS: First time customers at baublebar.com get 20% off their first time order! Use coupon code CHELSEA20 at checkout.

Be sure to try out this month’s theme, Color Destinations, and enter your nail art at Sally Hansen’s site. Each month, they choose a winner (you win $500!), and a trip to New York to compete to win $2,000. No purchase necessary. See official rules for full details.

I can’t wait to see all your entries, and if you try out this design I would love to see.Β Good luck!
