OPI Sheer Tints

OPI Sheer Tints www.chelseaqueen.com

Have you heard about these new OPI Sheer Tints? I would say they are the most innovative type of polish since crackle (oh…the memories!). They’re essentially top coats with “tints” to them — they come in yellow, blue, pink, and purple. They can be layer over all kinds of polishes to switch up the color, and layered over each other (blue + yellow = green!).

On the bottle caps they have different ideas, so I took inspiration from the purple tint – Don’t Violet Me Down. The pink shade is called Be Magentale With Me.

I started off with 2 coats of OPI I Love Applause and let that dry for a couple minutes. Then, I just used the sheer tints and a nail art brush to paint this gingham pattern! The coolest part is they can be layered and multiple coats produce a darker color. So when the horizontal and vertical lines intersected…it got darker in that little square!

They are top coats…so its not the easiest product to use for nail art. These are a bit “goopy”…but nothing that is extreme or awful. You do have to be careful when using them with nail art, since you can layer for darker colors you can’t mess up and paint over the line, because it’ll just get darker!

The possibilities are endless! Can’t wait to try out more designs with these 🙂

Sheer Tints features OPI’s exclusive ProWide Brush for the ultimate in application.Sheer Tints will be available March 2014, at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA andulta.com for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.

They look awesome!! Might be a little bit difficult for such a clumsy person as I am, but still: they look amazing! Even better than crackle when that came out! 😀
(Can you read my excitement? :D)

I’m not sure wheather to buy them or not. They are surely interesting and I love the nail art you did but I just don’t know if they’re worth it (and OPI is pretty expensive in Germany). Wish they’d have one in black, I think then I’d definitely buy one haha
