Patchwork Nails

Sometimes I really want to paint my nails, but can’t decide what to do! I’m sure it happens to all of you…you’re searching and searching and end up with nothing. I usually will look on pinterest or things I’ve taken photos of to get some inspiration, but today nothing was doing it for me!

So…in times like these I pick out a color palette and just “doodle”. I painted a base of Essie Ballet Slippers to get a “nude-ish” background. I then decided to paint some squares in Essie Where’s My Chauffeur?, Essie Play Date, and Deborah Lippmann Build Me Up Buttercup.

I wasn’t quite satisfied with the look, so I just added in some random black stripes! I actually like how these turned out, an unexpected surprise. Something I’ve learned through the last couple years of my nail art adventures is even if you can’t think of anything cool, paint your nails anyways. You never know what may happen, and even if you don’t like what came out…post a picture! There are times where I’m not satisfied with a design I do, but everyone else loves them! Practice makes perfect πŸ™‚

What’s your go-to nail look when you’re feeling uninspired?
