Sally Hansen – Textured Nails + Tutorial

Textured Tape Nails

As you may or may not know, I am an ambassador for the Sally Hansen I heart nail art contest! Each month I post a design and tutorial for that month’s theme to give you ideas (and also to make you go enter! :)) If you win, you get a trip to New York, $500, and a chance to compete again for $2,000.

At first I wasn’t sure how I could incorporate texture into my nail art – but then it hit me! I’ve been wanting to try using tape for quite some time and I wanted to see if it worked with the texture. I’m definitely pleased with this as its my first time using tape for nails! I hope you guys love it and that it inspires you to try tape…its much easier than I thought it would be.

Entering the contest is as easy as tagging an instagram picture with #iheartnailart. You can also go here on facebook and upload a photo as well.

What I Used:
Sally Hansen Fuschia Flare
Sally Hansen Sugar Coat – Gummy Grape
Sally Hansen Sugar Coat – Spare-A-Mint?
Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat – Tweedy
Tape

Where’d you find those colors of Sugar Coat?! They’re gorgeous but I haven’t seen them at any of my local displays!

this is really cool! And what a helpful tutorial. I have heard good things about the sugar coat polishes but am not really into texture polishes that much although with this design it looks awesome 🙂

Great idea for using textured polishes. With all those different textures I don’t think I would be able to stop feeling my nails if I was wearing this!

Great nail art tutorial. The colours are so vivid and work really well together. I imagine this pattern looking really beautiful with pastel colours!
