This month’s theme for the Sally Hansen #IHeartNailArt contest is “Liquid Mani-a”, which is inspired by all things textured, matte, different finishes, embellishments, etc. I used Sally Hansen’s new Color Foil polish to paint these hand painted splatters which goes with the Liquid Mani-a theme perfectly!
To do these nails, I first applied Sally Hansen Color Foil in Purple Alloy as my base color, with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Petal Pusher to my ring and thumb fingers.
Once the base color dried, I painted the splatters! Although its a bit more difficult than using the straw method to do splatters, it is definitely less cleanup. I painted the contrasting colors to my nails, and then added black splatters to all my nails.
Once the splatters dried a bit, I added top coat.
Need some help? I made a tutorial! Definitely easier to watch how to paint the splatters than try to explain them 🙂
All the colors I used come in THIS Nail Art Party in a Box kit that I’m giving away. It ends TONIGHT (June 13) at 11:59 PM…so make sure you check out that post to see how to enter for a chance at winning.
Also make sure you enter your nails into the Sally Hansen #IHeartNailArt contest. If you win, you get $500 and a trip to New York to compete for the grand prize of $2,000. Head on over to their website for official rules and more details.

Oh, that’s cool! I’m amazed how you painted the splatters and make a contrast on it. I’ll wait for your next tutorial. 🙂
