World Cup Nails

World Cup Inspired Nail Art www.chelseaqueen.com

So I’ve never been much into sports, but with the World Cup happening I’ve gotten so into it! From the start I wanted to do nails for it, but couldn’t quite decide what. Many people have done soccer balls and the different country’s flags, but of course I had to make things complicated and try to think outside the box 🙂

My boyfriend (darn it I can’t take credit for the idea!) suggested using the soccer ball as inspiration. I instantly knew I had to do nails inspired by it!

It was pretty difficult trying to get the swirls just right, it was a complex pattern. I started with a white base color, used a dark blue to add in the outline, then added in orange, blue, and green colors on the sides. I definitely had to look back at the ball to remember what to paint!

I added a bit of shading to the color with lighter and darker colors, its subtle but I think it really adds to the nails.

Yes I am watching! And so are 4 billion people in this world! The World Cup is great it really brings nations and people together. Beautiful nails. A lot of people have been using the Brazuca as nail inspiration I may have to sit down one weekend and try myself! I hope it can come out as great as yours.
